Holly Black is the bestselling author of contemporary fantasy novels for teens and children.

Holly has also been a frequent contributor to anthologies, and has co-edited three of them: Geektastic (with Cecil Castellucci, 2009), Zombies vs. Unicorns (with Justine Larbalestier, 2010), and Bordertown (with Ellen Kushner, 2011). Her first collection of short fiction, Poison Eaters and Other Stories, came out in 2010 from Small Beer Press. She has just finished the third book in her Eisner-nominated graphic novel series, The Good Neighbors, and is working on Red Glove, the second novel in The Curse Workers series. White Cat, the first in the series, is out as of May 2010, and is about capers, curse magic, and memory.
Holly lives in Massachusetts with her husband, Theo, in a house with a secret library.

Letters and Mere Christianity.C. S. Lewis was born in Belfast, Ireland, on November 29, 1898, to Albert J. Lewis and Florence Augusta Hamilton Lewis. . Lewis had one brother, Warren Hamilton Lewis (1895–1973). Lewis's mother died of cancer in 1908 when he was just nine years old. He was study in the University of Oxford.


| On May 20, of 1925, Lewis was appointed Fellow and Tutor in English Literature at Oxford University, where he served for twenty-nine years until 1954.
Lewis was married late in life at age fifty-eight to Joy Davidman Gresham, an American writer fifteen years his junior. They married in 1956; two years after Lewis accepted the chair of Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Cambridge, where he finished out his career. After a four-year fight with bone cancer, Joy passed away in 1960. Lewis continued to care for her two sons, Douglas and David Gresham. C. S. Lewis died at his home "The Kilns" on November 22, 1963. His grave is in the yard of Holy Trinity Church in Headington Quarry, Oxford. |

Linda Woolverton
Linda Woolverton was born in Long Beach, California, graduating from high school in 1969 and having been an honors student in her schools theater program. She enrolled at California State University, Long Beach, graduating with a BFA in Theater Arts in 1973.In 1984 she began working as a children's television writer, for shows such as Los Ewoks (1985), " The Real Ghostbusters," (1986), 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' and 'Ducktales'. She also had two young adult novels published: 'Starwind' and 'Running Before the Wind'.
When one of her novels caught the attention of a Disney executive, she was hired to write the script for the animated motion picture La bella y la bestia (1991).
Woolverton also co-writer the script for El rey León (1994) and De vuelta a casa , un viaje increible (1993).

During the family's residence in Winterbourne, Jo and Di Rowling were friends with neighborhood children, Vikki Potter. In 1974, the Rowling family moved yet again, this time to Tutshill. One day, stuck on a delayed train for four hours between Manchester and London, she dreamed up a boy called "Harry Potter".
