Las Palmas Trip

Las Palmas Trip

Last Tuesday 22nd February our class (the bilingual section of 3rd ESO) went to a trip to Las Palmas, concretely in Zona Jardín. There we met the bilingual section of 3rd ESO of other three highschools (I.E.S. La Minillam, I.E.S. Vecindario and I.E.S.

Valsequillo).

The activity consisted in knowing new people and having fun while we used English for communication and doing a “competition” in groups (more or less a Gymkana).

The competition consisted in doing, as quick as possible, twelve activities related to the influence of English culture in our island. We had the opportunity of going into the British Club, where an old lady told us a bit of its history and the important people who had been there (for example, Don Juan Carlos I, king of Spain). We also received a talk about the English in the Canary Islands in the Anglical Church. Another activity was finding in the map all the streets with English names. In resume, it was a very complete day.

Now, we can keep in touch in the Moodle Platform, where we also have to do

new activities.
